If you haven’t heard already, then you must be living under a gay rock or something. Cyndi Lauper is launching the True Colors tour this summer, the gay(er) answer to the 90’s Lilith Fair. Cyndi is rounding up all the gay and gay-friendly artists to go one the road for a quick tour. Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Gossip, & Margaret Cho are all following along, with some other guests along the way. The tour starts tomorrow night in Vegas, and I’ll be checking the show out next Sunday when it comes to Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Anyway, enough back tracking. Cyndi’s pausing work on her new album to do the tour, so the album has been delayed until early 2008. But she did perform a new song on Whoopi Goldberg’s radio show the other day, and a new remix of ‘True Colors’ has surfaced – done by gay DC DJ Richard Morel.

I got em. Here they are. Not the best quality… the new song is a live version, sounds like she’s singing over canned backing, and the remix might just be a myspace rip… either way… enjoy! Finally some new music from the new face of gay music. Heehee!
