Avengers: The Initiative #1 – The new book spotlighting how the Super Hero Registration Act will be carried out nationwide. Should be interesting to see what random charcters start popping up!
Fallen Son: Wolverine – The start of the mini-series following the death of Captain America. Each issue spotlights a different character, and their reaction to the events. This one… Wolverine, because it’s about this time this guy had a book all to himself. That was sarcasm!
Irredeemable Ant-Man #7 – This book keeps chugging along with it’s fun blend of humor, action, and non-linear storytelling. Oh, and last issue he hopped a ride in Ms. Marvel’s handbag, so I can’t wait to see what happens when our anti-hero faces off with the Mighty Avengers!
Marvel Zombies/Army of Darkness #2 – So much random goodness. Zombies, bunches of Marvel Heroes, Ash from the Evil Dead series. Ba da ba ba ba, I’m loving it!
Midnighter #6 – My favorite gay ass-kicker. Besides myself of course. His first mission was a success, with a sort of surprising ending. I’m very interested to see where the next arc goes!
Ms. Marvel #14 – Last issue, Carol made it clear to Iron Man, that if she were to lead the Mighty Avengers, she would also want her own SHIELD strike force on the side to do all sorts of other things. Like hunt down Archne (Spider-Woman II) to atone for her bitchiness during Civil War. Can’t wait to see more of one of my favorite C-List Marvel heroine!
Omega Flight #1 – And more of Arachne as she joins the new Canadian superteam, Omega Flight. I’m glad they’re trying this out as a mini-series first, in case sales aren’t there. However, I’m still excited for the first issue.
Runaways #25 – Joss Whedon’s first issue on Marvel’s critically acclaimed super-team book. I hope he does well by all the magnificent storytelling we’ve already read, and that he doesn’t fuck up their generally stable shipping schedule.
