Cyndi Lauper’s LONG awaited new album ‘Bring Ya To The Brink’ is set for a release at the end of the month, & the new single, ‘Same Ol’ Story’ is beginning its promotion. Remixes are out & beyond the usual suspects, the newly re-united Razor & Guido have had a tweak at it!! I dunno how much radio success this one is gonne have, since the f-word is littered throughout the chorus, but it’s a hot little song. Check it out! (And don’t forget to head out to the True Colors Tour in June while you’re at it!!)

Shanty had a good laugh at my expense when this song came on during tree decoration time, and I started feeling the Holy Spirit. I think she even took pictures!

Cyndi Lauper & Frank Sinatra - Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
Through the magic of production and studio gadgets, this duet was created some time after Ol’ Blue Eyes’ death. Howevere, it sounds great, quite the duet pairing!

An early 2000’s classic from a dance diva who allegedly hates the gays. Say what you will about her religious perspectives… she has a soaring voice and had some great songs way back when!

Eva Cassidy - Time After Time
This song was on the first soundtrack to ‘Smallville’, & was played on one of the episodes during a particularly heart-wrenching funeral scene. Eva turns the Cyndi classic into an even more heartbreaking ballad. Beautiul!
